Yoga for Empowered Birth is a unique pre-natal yoga course offering insightful, practical childbirth education, that will encourage you to explore your inner realms, paired with yoga, meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, and other tools for active birth. The course will support you to deepen your connection with your baby, your body, and your breath. You'll finish this course feeling ready to embrace a mindful and active birth.

Birth is about so much more than absorbing a textbook of medical information.
Birth is a transformation that opens you. You birth your baby, and you birth yourself, as a mother.
Going within to prepare your mind and body for this peak performance event is essential.
Yoga is an embodied practice that supports this going within. Yoga is a way for you to be more connected to your inner realms in preparation for birth, and motherhood.
I created this course so that you have yoga as an access point for cultivating your instinct and tuning into the language of your body for birth. Birth is a body event, there’s no escaping it, it’s an intense process that forces you to be present with your body and what is.
This course is designed to support you to attune to your body’s signals and wisdom with a physical yoga practice, meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, and inspiring, thought provoking childbirth education. The course will also help you to deepen your connection to your baby.

This "yoga" course, started out as a yoga course for active birth and has evolved to so much more. After 8 live, in person rounds, the content has been refined and distilled to what it is now. This course is a portal for you to connect more deeply and wholly to yourself, to your baby, to your inner wisdom, to your body, to your intuition. Along the way, you’ll learn some inspiring childbirth education pieces drawing from the the Birthing From Within framework (with my unique perspective) which prioritises approaching birth as an opportunity of self discovery.

You’ll have ongoing (forever) access to keep doing the classes, and use as a resource whenever you need to throughout your pregnancy.

FAQ's

  • How long do I have access to the course?

    Forever. Once you've enrolled and paid, you'll have access to the course material for as long as you need, and any updates that I include. The course is designed to be taken over 6 weeks, but you can go as slow or fast as you feel.

  • Do I get immediate access to the course?

    Yes. Access to the entire course is immediate upon purchase.

  • When should I start the course?

    It's suggested in relation to the physical yoga lessons that you don't begin until you're 12-13 weeks pregnant, particularly if you don't already do yoga, or physical exercise. It's generally advisable not to start anything new during this time (the first trimester). However, there are no rules, it's your body. If you already have a movement or yoga practice, and you intuitively feel you have the capacity to do the physical yoga lessons, then it's not my place to stop you. You know your body best. The other lessons can be taken any time as they are meditations, breath work and educational.

  • I have a medical condition, can I still do the course?

    I trust that you know the answer to this question. If you're not sure, I recommend seeking medical advice.

  • Do I need any special equipment for the course?

    The things that will be helpful for you to complete this course, are a yoga mat, although it is not essential - a clear space on the floor works (as long as the surface isn’t slippery), a yoga block, an eye pillow and a bolster are the props you will see me using. However, you can improvise all of these items with cushions, pillows, and a scarf (for your eyes) from around your home. Module 4 also makes use of a fit ball which you can purchase from sports stores relatively inexpensively (about $30).

  • I'm in the later stages/weeks of my pregnancy, is the course still suitable for me?

    YES! Absolutely. I have had people start as late as 34 weeks for my in person events. The normal gestation of a pregnancy is 37-43 weeks. In light of this, I recommend that you use your intuition to make the best decision for yourself. You know ;)

  • I'm not pregnant yet, is this course suitable?

    It could be. The course is designed for pregnant women, however, if you're not yet, but you are planning and preparing to be, you could also take the course. My ethos is that we prepare for birth well before we ever fall pregnant, it's just that it's usually unconscious, so if you're wanting to do some more conscious preparing for birth, and you feel this is right, then go for it. You will know. Tune in.

  • What if I'm unhappy with my purchase?

    Unfortunately, there are no refunds on the course as I truly believe in its value. If you're really dissatisfied please let me know, and why. I welcome your feedback.
